Lack of Confidence
Many people experience a lack of confidence at some point in their lives, and there are various factors that can contribute to it, such as negative self-talk or past experiences. However, it’s important to remember that as babies, we are born with a sense of ultimate confidence, as evidenced by our lack of concern for others’ opinions and our unconditional self-love. Unfortunately, this confidence often fades over time due to various life events and traumas, leaving us feeling stuck in our past fears and limiting beliefs. Despite this, the potential for confidence is still within us, waiting to be unlocked. It’s worth noting that what many people refer to as a lack of confidence is often more accurately a lack of self-esteem.

A 32-year-old woman sought a confidence-building session due to her struggles with self-belief and anxiety in front of others. Her family, including her mother and siblings, disapproved of her decision to pursue a mindfulness career after previously working in banking. She desired the ability to live life on her own terms, possess high self-esteem, and set boundaries with family and friends without feeling uncomfortable in her own skin.
During the hypnosis session, the client was able to recall various instances of manipulation from her mother and the roles she had to play to fit in with the group. These childhood experiences had resulted in certain beliefs that were still influencing her behavior as an adult. She was surprised to realize that her subconscious mind was still being controlled by the beliefs she had formed as a 7 or 8-year-old girl. This awareness helped her understand why she was still holding onto the opinions of her parents and siblings, and how this was preventing her from taking full responsibility for her own life. We go to other scenes that uncover the root of her social anxiety – the memory where she was embarrassed in front of her friends.
After a 2 hour session, reconnecting to herself, reparenting herself and releasing old emotions, she was able to feel liberated and feel the power she has over her life. In this session, my client had immediate changes. She was able to speak confidently in public .Be proud of choices she made in life. After 21 days, the client provided me with an update on her progress. She noticed significant improvements in her posture, tonality, and ability to express her emotions more openly. She even exclaimed that she finally feels liberated and empowered after 32 years.
Isn’t it worth it?
It doesn’t matter how old you are, what story is behind you, the best part of being an adult is to be able to change everything, to reprogram your mind and to create the rules you want to live by.
